Nutrition, Dietetics and F&B - Overview

Nutrition is a key element in both health promotions as well as in the treatment of several diseases. The importance of nutrition in primary prevention of disease is also been recognized these days.

Dietetics is the application of nutritional knowledge particularly tailored to individual needs.

Dieticians translate this information into practical dietary advice for disease treatment, management of chronic diseases like diabetes and the prevention of nutrition related problems.

The department has a team of trained dieticians and an F&B team. The F&B team comprises of an F&B manager and an executive chef.

PCH is one of the few hospitals where F&B department is under the supervision of dieticians. This has been found to be of an immense help in providing wholesome balanced meals for speedy recovery of patients.
